Do you allow that I track your visit with a self-hosted installation of Matomo? This is not required, but it greatly helps to understand which type of content you like the most.

If you allow your visit(s) to be tracked and recorded by Matomo, I can see exactly which articles and pages (on this site only!) you are reading, how you got there (i.e. through a link posted somewhere or by using a search engine), which browser you are using, if you are on a mobile device or a desktop computer and how long you are staying on the website. PII like IP adresses are shortened, so derived data like your location is pretty unsharp and can be tracked down to certain countries or regions. In short, I do not care *who* you are, but *that* you are. However, in order to recognize you as a unique visitor, Matomo will set a cookie on your device. You can opt out through the checkbox in the Priacy Policy. Your data will never be sold.
